TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
Six nights' accommodation is included in your registration fee. Teams and their advisors will be staying at the Oaks iStay River City, a 4.5 star hotel located right in the heart of Brisbane city. All rooms are self-contained and include internet access. Teams will be staying in two bedroom apartments and advisors will be staying in one bedroom apartments.
All teams are required to check into their accommodation on Sunday 26 November 2017 and check out on Saturday 2 December 2017. Teams or individuals who would like to do so may extend their stay for up to 3 days on either side of the booking and receive the discounted booking rate. Flights to Australia and transfers from the airport to the hotel are the responsibility of the individual teams. The cost of your flights and transfers are not included in your registration fee.
The Brisbane International Airport is located approximately 25 minutes from Brisbane CBD.

Taxi ranks are conveniently located at both the International and Domestic Terminals.
At the Domestic Terminal, the taxi rank is located centrally in front of the terminal. At the International Terminal, the taxi rank is located at the northern end of Arrivals on Level 2. The approximate taxi fare from the airport into the city is around AUD$50.
The Airtrain offers convenient services between the Airport and Brisbane City, as well as transfers between the Domestic and International Terminals. Airtrain operates every day between 5.45am and 10pm, departing every 15

Bus is not a reliable or easily accessible option of transport from the airport to Brisbane city, unless a private bus or transfer is booked for your group.

Weather: Brisbane’s weather is typically hot and humid in November/December with an occasional afternoon thunderstorm. Daily temperatures average from 28 - 32C (82.4 - 89.6F).
Sun protection: a hat, sunglasses, good sunscreen and shirt is a must when out sight-seeing, even when it is cloudy.
